Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty, riding on the high of a possible GST rejig, has surged by over 350 points.The Sensex is up a major 1000 points, rising closer to the the 82.000 mark
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: After cooling from the day’s surge, the markets are now trading with reduced gains. The Nifty is trading with a surge of close to 300 points, inching closer to 25,000. The Indian markets have opened the floodgates, as the marquee indices trounce the red to surge into the green.
The Sensex index has soared by over 700 points, moving closer to 81,400. The broader markets are also on the rise. The Nifty Bank index is trading with a rise of 725.85 points.
When we look at the broader markets, the small-cap and mid-cap indices are trading with a surge of over 1.5%. The Nifty Midcap 100 index is above 500 points, losing over 300 points from its highs.
Some of the biggest volume movers of the day include Campus, KEC International, Endurance, Ashok Leyland, Maruti Suzuki and Niva Bupa among others.
Among the individual stocks, the auto, FMCG, feed and AC, among other consumer goods stocks, are on the rise. Maruti Suzuki has surged and is witnessing its highest surge in nearly 4 years.
