MRPL Q4 net profit declines 68% to ₹363 crore
Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) reported its fourth quarter earnings on Saturday, April 26.
Its net profit for the March quarter declined 68% at ₹363 crore from ₹1,136 crore in the year-ago period.
The company reported a revenue of ₹24,596 crore in the fourth quarter. It was down 2.9% from the previous year’s ₹25,328 crore.
MRPL’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) declined 51.7% at ₹1,130 crore from ₹2,339 crore in the fourth quarter last fiscal.
Its margin too contracted to 4.6% from 9.2% in the year-ago period.
MRPL shares ended 3.4% lower at ₹136.4 apiece on Friday, April 25. The stock has declined 45.65% in the past year.
