PSL 2025 postponed amid rising India-Pakistan tensions
The 2025 season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was postponed on Friday amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan.
Earlier in the day, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had decided to shift the remaining matches of the tournament to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In a statement, the PCB had said that the last eight fixtures of the competition, which were previously scheduled in Rawalpindi, Multan and Lahore, would be staged in the UAE.
On Thursday, the match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi in Rawalpindi had been suspended, and no PSL match has been held since Wednesday.
Earlier on Friday, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was suspended for a week due to the ongoing situation. On Thursday, the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala was called off due to a technical failure.
