Kesari Chapter 2 Box Office: Akshay Kumar starrer makes the most of Blockbuster Tuesday offer, stays over Rs. 2.50 crores :Bollywood Box Office

After bringing in Rs. 2.65 crores on Monday with the BOGO offer going in a few select cities, Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Truth of Jallianwala Bagh stayed good on Tuesday as well due to “Blockbuster Tuesdays” offer of Rs. 99/ tickets at select properties. This ensured that the footfalls saw a spike and the collections stayed steady with Rs. 2.72 crores more coming in. The fact that the numbers are above Rs. 2.50 crores on a daily basis so far is good because it would help the film maintain the trend today as well as tomorrow.

Yes, today it would be a bit tough because there is no offer and then it’s also bang in the middle of the week. However, tomorrow being partial holiday of Labour Day, a few centres would see evening and night shows bring better, which should eventually balance out things. As for tomorrow, while Raid 2 and The Bhootnii are coming, and hence will give audiences more choices at multiplexes and single screens/interiors respectively, the holiday factor will aid the Akshay Kumar starrer to have good footfalls.

This also keeps the film well on track to go past Rs. 75 crores mark after two weeks. So far, the Karan Johar production has collected Rs. 71.30 crores and even if one accounts for drops, at least Rs. 2 crores each will come in both today and tomorrow, which means Rs. 75 crores is there for the taking. It’s the hold that the film will show in the third week which will decide its entry into the Rs. 100 Crore Club.
