Box Office Predictions: Raid 2 to open between Rs. 11-13 cr; The Bhootnii likely to be slower with Rs. 3-4 cr :Bollywood Box Office

After a rather barren season when hardly a few films have been arriving on a week-on-week basis, finally comes a Friday when two notable films are arriving together – Raid 2 and The Bhootnii. While former has Ajay Devgn leading the show, latter has Sanjay Dutt as the biggest star in there. Raid 2 is sequel to 2018 release Raid which had entered the Rs. 100 Crore Club and emerged as a success. On the other hand, The Bhootnii takes forward the horror comedy genre and is the first such release of 2025.

Raid 2 is a true sequel to a successful film and also features Riteish Deshmukh as the antagonist whose premises are now being raided by Ajay Devgn. Moreover, Saurabh Shukla from the last part makes an appearance as well. This makes the film special. However, the kind of awareness that has been generated so far and the urgency which is seen amongst the audiences these days about any new film release, Raid 2 will take a decent to good start for sure and then rely upon word of mouth to help it push through over the weekend. Raid had opened at Rs. 10.04 crores and now Raid 2 should take a start of Rs. 11-13 crores with the partial holiday factor (Labour Day) also helping its cause.

On the other hand, The Bhootnii is an ensemble affair and apart from Sanjay Dutt, it has Mouni Roy as the principal attraction as she plays the title role. Sunny Singh has done comedies over the years and is expected to bring in laughs here as well. Palak Tiwari has done a couple of films, and this one should feature her in something all the more substantial. The promo of the film promises some laughs but then as is the trend these days, more than the opening it’s the word of mouth that’s the deciding factor for a good run. All of this means that the first day collections could well be Rs. 3-4 crores with weekend growth expected to come in if there is thumbs-up from the audiences.
